How a claim works

From breakdown to payment, here's the path.

Five clear phases. Hard deadlines come straight from the official TruckProtect Claim Guide — miss them and your claim can be denied, so we keep them front and center.

  1. Step 1
    Within 2 days of breakdown

    Notify TruckClub

    Open your claim with the breakdown odometer, what happened, and the shop's contact info. Send maintenance records within 3 days so the clock starts clean.

  2. Step 2
    Within 30 days of claim start

    Pre-repair info from the shop

    The shop pulls the ECM fault history before clearing codes, then sends diagnostics, estimate & parts card, photos of every failed part, and technician notes (complaint / cause / correction).

  3. Step 3
    Authorize repairs

    Decide & approve

    You authorize the repair — you don't have to wait on a coverage decision to start. Skipping pre-repair info first can hurt your claim, so the shop sends those documents in parallel.

  4. Step 4
    Within 60 days of claim start

    Post-repair info & receipt

    Final invoice on shop letterhead, your payment receipt, and the labor + part warranty terms. Pick how you want us to pay: Direct Pay to the shop, or reimburse you.

  5. Step 5
    Adjudication & payment

    We pay it out

    TruckClub adjudicates against your TruckProtect plan and releases funds for approved repairs. You'll see the decision and payment in your claim tracker — no chasing.
